A Glimpse of Grace

Hello. I'm Grace.

A former TV reporter living a new life in Boston with my pup, Archie.

I love reading, writing, and cooking.

This glimpse into my life is for you to enjoy.

More than a glimpse...

I formerly worked as a multimedia journalist for WBNG-TV in Binghamton, New York. Two days after returning from my post-grad European excursion, I packed up my belongings and moved to Binghamton. Binghamton is just a hop, skip, and a jump away from northern Pennsylvania. It's a quirky place. Fun fact, it's the carousel capital of the world. I never saw a carousel while I was there, though.

Back to my job: multimedia journalist. I did more than stand in front of a camera, looking pretty. I set up my own stories (easier said than done). I filmed, edited, and wrote everything myself all before going live on-camera.

I covered some cool stuff, too. One time I went live in my own kitchen, making my dad's famous buffalo wings ahead of Super Bowl Sunday.

Not every story was sunshine. I covered an intense murder trial. A husband and wife were found guilty of killing their adopted, special needs son. It wasn't easy listening to that case for hours on end.

After a year of reporting for TV news, I decided the industry wasn't my cup of tea. So, I quit my job and spent some time in CT with the hopes of finding myself. There's nothing wrong with self-exploration. It's how we grow.

I am happy. I reinvented myself. It wasn't easy, but I did it.

I'm in Boston, a city I've dreamed of living in since high school. I work in content marketing. I still tell stories every day, just in a different form.

I feel fulfilled. On this journey toward myself, I deepened my current relationships/friendships and made new, meaningful ones along the way.

Writing

BLOGGING AND COLUMNS

I'm a columnist. I started writing a column for my town's local newspaper when I was 19 years old. Unfortunately, COVID-19 forced the newspaper I write for to shut down. Now, I publish my op-ed writing on Medium. You can find some of my more recent writing linked below. If you would like to see samples of my column, please reach out.
